Designing the perfect space for your owner's suite
Master Bedroom Entrance
This zen retreat is the perfect master bedroom. In our Spring model home, the master bedroom is on the main floor and tucked away so nicely that people don’t even know it’s there. There is a little breezeway that leads off the living room to the master bedroom. In the breezeway there is a built-in book nook with shelves and it creates the perfect little divider between the living room/kitchen and the bedroom. It gives this master the much needed privacy from the main living areas, especially when there is company over. You enter through 2 large black French doors for a grand entrance.
Bedroom Color Palette
The color palette is very calm and neutral. The wall are painted SW pure white and the bedding is a charcoal gray with fresh white linens with textured white and gray pillows. The headboard is a tufted woven gray headboard to give a comfortable, relaxing feel. Originally we were going to put a black iron canopy bed in the room, but it would have blocked the two high window on either side of the bed. We decided to tone down the black modern accents in here, and went a little more natural.
Bedroom Decor
The white clay lamps have a beautiful natural texture on the metal nightstands. We added high and low priced items in here, and it gives a collected feel. The lamps are an awesome find at Target, nightstands are from Restoration Hardware, bench is from West Elm and the bedding is Crate and Barrel. We love mixing brands, materials and styles. We also added a big fig leaf tree to draw your eye up, because this room has big peak vaulted ceilings. It has oversized black windows to showcase the beautiful private wooded lot. It’s the perfect master retreat.
