Claire's Thanksgiving Shopping List

Updated: Nov 20, 2023

Interior designer Claire's Thanksgiving shopping list

Hey there! I'm Claire, and I am the Director of Design here at Style & Structure. Can I just say how much I absolutely adore this time of year?! The air is getting crisp, the leaves are changing color, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! As an interior designer, I get inspired by every season, but there's something about the Fall that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I love nothing more than making my home super cozy and inviting for my loved ones. So, I wanted to share some of my favorite new Fall purchases with you. Hopefully, you'll find something that catches your eye and inspires you as much as it did me!

Notes of Ripened Fig, Velvety Musk, Midnight Rose & Fig Leaf. If you're looking for a candle that's perfect for a cozy Fall gathering, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It's actually one of my favorites of the season. And the best part? It's not your typical pumpkin or apple scent, which makes it all the more special.

I absolutely adore crossbody bags - they are always at the top of my must-have list! Especially during the chilly Midwest months, this slim crossbody is the perfect accessory to pair with bulky jackets and vests. The bag is made of high-quality, soft, vegan leather that is both cozy and lightweight. Plus, the synthetic leather is waterproof, durable, and easy to clean, making it perfect for everyday use. And let me tell you, this bag is super cute and comes in 16 different color combinations, so you'll definitely find one that suits your style!

Oh, I absolutely adore my Rust colored lounge set! It's so cute and comfy that I wear it all the time. The best part is that it's available in 15 different colors, so you can choose your favorite! I love wearing it around the house, but it's also stylish enough to wear out and about while running errands and picking up my girls from daycare. Don't you just love warm and cozy outfits for the Fall?

I just had to share with you my absolute favorite earrings at the moment. They would be the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving outfit! These earrings have a modern take on the classic hoop design. I totally get it if you're a mom with young kids - big earrings can be a handful with little ones around. That's why these earrings are on the smaller side but still make a statement. Plus, they're non-allergenic and have never irritated my sensitive skin. Hope you love them as much as I do!

I absolutely love wearing dainty necklaces, especially when I can layer them with other necklaces. The Small Jasmine Necklace is the perfect addition to your collection! It's minimal, chic, and will quickly become your new favorite everyday piece. The paperclip design is super cute and goes well with any outfit, whether you're dressing up or keeping it casual.

If you're planning on hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, you know that setting a beautiful table is a must. And what better way to decorate your home for autumn than by using silk artificial fall leaf stems? These stems are not only easy to style, but they also add a warm and inviting touch to your home. You can use fake seeded eucalyptus leaves to create beautiful floral wreaths and vase arrangements that showcase the stunning terracotta orange and mustard yellow hues inspired by nature. Personally, I love a pop of color in any season, but there's something special about Fall - it's definitely my favorite! These stems are a little different from the typical Fall decor, so they'll add an extra touch of uniqueness to your decorations.

-Side note, our entire design team has purchased multiple stems from Afloral, and they have never disappointed!

Our owner Danielle is one of the Founders of Darling and you get 15% off if you use her code danielle15 at checkout. Place this Scandinavian minimal vase on any surface with a fresh Fall bouquet, and your space will feel lived in and loved. Its wide base will help with no accidental tipping, during that big family dinner.

Aren't these slippers just the absolute cutest and coziest thing you've ever seen?! I mean, just look at that adorable braid detail - it's perfect for keeping your feet warm and toasty all winter long. As someone who loves nothing more than a comfy pair of slippers, I know that in the Midwest, it's considered impolite to wear shoes indoors (goes along with our Minnesota nice). That's why I always bring these slippers with me to holiday gatherings with friends and family - they're the perfect way to keep my feet cozy and show some love to the host's floors at the same time!

I was so excited to upgrade my champagne glasses and finally get my hands on a coupe! When I saw these arrive, I just couldn't wait to use them and even offered to host Thanksgiving dinner to show them off! The reeded texture and smoky hue of the glass make them look so fancy and chic. I'm already dreaming up some yummy mocktails and cocktails to sip in these glasses, can't wait to try them out!

During dinner, candlelight elevates the atmosphere. I bought two sets of these candle holders to fill my Thanksgiving table.

Now this will bring your home bar an elevated look! Originally commissioned for Italian fine-dining restaurants of the 1980s, this wide, long-necked wine decanter now becomes a focal point of the contemporary bar. Crafted by hand in Poland of sparkling crystalline glass, Gianfranco Frattini's original design shows off architecturally designed curves that transform cocktail hour into a moment to savor. Layer it with its sister decanters for an elegant arrangement.

No Thanksgiving list is complete without a stylish outfit to wear. This flirty dress is perfect for the occasion, featuring a delicate floral print that is sure to turn heads. It also comes with long sleeves to keep you cozy on cooler days. Pair it with a cute scarf, belt, and boots to create the perfect look for your holiday gatherings.

I hope you had a blast checking out my Thanksgiving picks! Now, let's get shopping!
